The Maple Rooms is a Recording Studio, located 30 minutes from Cork City and operated by Producer and Engineer Cormac O'Connor.
The Maple Rooms is a one-stop-shop for recording,mixing and mastering audio.
It also provide extensive video editing facilities, sound design and camerawork.


I specialise in musical arrangement and production for singer songwriters as well as recording bands (Live and Overdubbing) with a range of individually tailored packages available to suit any budget. I pride myself on providing good value for money and the efficient delivery of projects on time within budget. Listen to some Sonic examples  here

Keeping up with innovation in music technology and audio production is central to my approach to music production. Although I am as much enthralled by old Neil Young records as I am mesmerised by Massive Attack and Radiohead.
I compose music and Sound Design for Theatre and Film and I am a creative and accomplished musician. I play Guitar, Bass, Keyboards and Drums and I am very comfortable building organic arrangements for singer songwriters.

Film makers have the advantage of being able to edit Video and Audio together fluidly with the latest audio and video plugins to hand along with a vast library of sound effects, ambience and stock footage. My work has appeared in major cinemas in surround sound as well as on RTE, Channel 4 and Sky Television.

I also make short films, Youtube promos and provide creative video design and projection mapping for Theatre Productions.

The studio has a massive library of sounds and sound manipulation tools as well as a full range of microphones by Neumann, AKG, Sennheiser and Shure and Slate Digital. Preamplifiers designed by Rupert Neve, Uiniversal Audio and Broadhurst Gardens and musical Instruments including a top of the range Mapex Orion Drum Kit, Yamaha upright Piano, Moog Etherwave Theremin, Fender Guitars, Deep Mind Synthesiser and two Melodicas!

The studio was designed from the ground up by www.irishacoustics.com/, has a very pleasing acoustic response with excellent results for Drums, Vocals and Acoustic Guitarss
